Today is election day

I am proud to be an american. There are social culture faux pauxs that do upset me, but none the less; I will be an american until the day I die. We have much to be thankful these days, even though many people have lost their jobs, lost their homes and the economy has a bleak outlook. I am thankful that I can walk around my neighborhood and not have fear of being shot, or worse yet, having a bomb go off in a crowded place. I still have choices to make like where to shop or where I will worship. I can have a job and go to school. Yes, people don't think that President Obama has done a good job.
I say wake up !! He has saved us from another depression era, we narrowly missed it. He was handed a pile of poop, all wraped up from the Bush administration. President Obama rolled up his sleeves and went to work. I live in probably the worst state, New York. I love New York, but some of the most greediest bastards have had their way. They have taken my money and done absolutely nothing. Pedro Espada, for one, walked off his job and went to the dark side. One month the state was not doing a bit of work. Can you imagine if I did that? Point blank, I would have been fired the first day I didn't show up. As a tax payer of New York, I think we, the people, should have made a big stink and asked for him to resign !!!!
I will say thank you for all the people that made this day possible. The election inspectors, and the laws that permit us to vote. I look to other countries that are just starting to use democracy, and what a risk it is to vote. I just can't imagine having to think of running to the polling place and then running home in fear of being bombed. We are very lucky, thank you service men and women for keeping us safe.
